Municipal Utility Consumption
Texas Government Code Sec. 2265.001(b) requires cities to publish the following information annually on their website:
- "metered amount of electricity, water, or natural gas consumed"; and
- "the aggregate costs for those utility services".
The total cost of electricity, water, and natural gas purchased by the City in the calendar year 2025 was $201,853.75.
Electricity
The City of Joshua purchases electricity from United Cooperative Services and Hudson Energy Services. In calendar year 2025, the City purchased a total of 583,656 kilowatt hours.
Water
The City purchases water from Johnson County Special Utility District. In calendar year 2025, the City purchased a total of 4,279,388 gallons of water.
Natural Gas
The City purchases natural gas from Atmos Energy. In calendar year 2025, the City purchased a total of 5 cubic feet (CCF).
