Municipal Utility Consumption

Texas Government Code Sec. 2265.001(b) requires cities to publish the following information annually on their website:

• "metered amount of electricity, water, or natural gas consumed"; and
• "the aggregate costs for those utility services".

The total cost of electricity, water, and natural gas purchased by the City in the calendar year 2023 was $224,419.81.

Electricity

The City of Joshua purchases electricity from United Cooperative Services and Hudson Energy Services. In calendar year 2023, the City purchased a total of 572,811 kilowatt hours. 

Water

The City purchases water from Johnson County Special Utility District. In calendar year 2023, the City purchased a total of 6,748,287 gallons of water.

Natural Gas

The City purchases natural gas from Atmos Energy. In calendar year 2023, the City purchased a total of 28 cubic feet (CCF).
