2024 Clean-Ups Events

The Public Works and Parks Departments in conjunction with our solid waste services provider, Waste Connection, offers two free, city-wide cleanup events each year to our residents. These events are typically held in April and October each year.

Spring City-Wide Clean-up

When

 Spring: April 19, 20, and 21, 2024, from 7 am to 6 pm.

Fall: October 18, 19, and 20, 2024 from 7 am to 6 pm.

Where

1080 S. Broadway St. and Plum (formerly Mountaineer Rd).

Do I need to show proof of residency?

Yes. Residents must show proof of residency with a current trash bill. 

Is there a limit?

Yes. Only one (1) load per residence will be accepted.  Should you have any questions, please contact City Hall at 817-558-7447.

Did you know?

Garage sale permit fees will be waived during the City-Wide Cleanup Events.

Can I bring tires or batteries?

Yes. Tires and batteries are accepted with a $5 environmental fee (each item).

The Crud Cruiser will be in Joshua on October 19, 2024 from 9 am to 11 am 

Crud Cruiser

As part of the City of Joshua's Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program, a mobile collection unit allows you to properly dispose of your household hazardous waste safely and efficiently. This is a first-come, first-served event. Storage capacity is limited, so please arrive early!

How much will it cost?

A voucher must be purchased at Joshua City Hall in order to participate. The cost of the voucher is $95.00. The first 20 vouchers issued by the City will be free.

The Crud Cruiser will be located at the Joshua Park and Ride Facility at1009 Joshua Station Blvd., Joshua, TX. 76058

What if it is raining?

The program will be canceled.

Do I need to show proof of residency?

Yes. A current trash bill is acceptable.

What are some examples of acceptable hazardous household waste?

Acids, aerosol cans, antifreeze, batteries, brake fluid, cooking oil, craft chemicals, degreaser, drain cleaner, fertilizer, fluorescent light bulbs, herbicides, household chemicals, motor oil, paints & stains, paint thinners, pest strips, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, oil filters, transmission fluid, and varnish.

What are some examples of unacceptable hazardous household waste?

Ammunition, electronics, explosives, tires, medical waste, propane, radioactive material and waste generated by businesses.

Drop off information

  • Leave products in original, marked containers. If unlabeled, please label contents clearly.
  • Place leaking containers in a second container of like material (glass for corrosives, metal for flammables).
  • Place items securely in boxes or bins (no trash bags) in the trunk of the car or bed of pickup.
  • Remain in the vehicle and allow staff to unload waste.
