2024 Bond Election Information

The Joshua City Council has called a May 4, 2024, election to ask voters for consideration of two bond propositions, including a Proposed New Police Department & Municipal Complex and Streets, Sidewalks, and Drainage Improvements Projects.

The ballot will present two propositions, each focused on a different service area.

Proposition A - $16 million for a proposed Police Department and Municipal Complex.

Potential Economic Impacts

In addition to considering the importance and need for each potential project, the Joshua City Council and Bond Committee considered the possible economic impact the bond package might have on Joshua taxpayers. Voter-approved bonds to fund capital projects are repaid using property taxes collected by the City.
