To set up trash service or transfer, please call Waste Connections.

Waste Connections is contracted for solid waste collection for all City of Joshua residential customers.

Trash Pickup Schedule

• Pickup Days: Monday & Thursday
• Place your cart by the curb by 7:00 a.m. on pickup days.

New Trash Carts – Use Required

• Mondays are now automated truck-only days. This means only Waste Connections containers will be collected on Mondays. If you have two Waste Connections bins, you're welcome to set both out.
• On your second pickup day (Thursdays-Bulk Pickup Day), you're allowed to set out a personal container with the Waste Connection Cart, and they both will be emptied by Waste Connections.

Assistance Available:

• If you are elderly or disabled and need help with your cart, Waste Connections can assist by retrieving and returning your cart on pickup days. Please contact Waste Connections for more information.

Bulk & Brush Pickup Guidelines

• Happens on your second pickup day each week (Thursday).
• You may set out up to 4 cubic yards of bulk or brush.

The brush should be: 

• Bundled in 4-foot sections
• Weigh no more than 50 lbs
• Or placed in disposable containers

For quantities exceeding the limit, additional service is available for a fee. Contact Waste Connections for pricing.

Unacceptable Items:

Items such as roofing shingles, concrete, brick, rock, dirt, paint, hazardous chemicals, tires, building materials from remodeling, and auto parts are just some of the items not accepted. Please contact Waste Connections for more information.

Service will not be provided on the following holidays:

• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
• New Year’s Day
