Type B Economic Development Board/Parks Board

The Type B EDC & Parks Advisory Board focuses on “quality of life” projects. Examples of these types of projects are:

  • The Joshua Community YMCA (the EDC, in partnership with the City, built and owns the building while the YMCA organization maintains the daily operations and maintenance).
  • The city’s Main Street Park.
  • City Events such as Movies in the Park, Parades, and other community events.
  • Community projects that will bring a better quality of life for the citizens of Joshua.
