Citizens Fire Academy now taking applications
Applications are now being accepted for the City of Joshua’s new Citizens Fire Academy. This 10-week program will be held Tuesday evenings from 6:30 until 9:30 p.m. beginning April 2, 2013 through June 4, 2013. Program features include a history of the fire service, a guided tour of the Johnson County Fire Dispatch Center, as well as demonstrations in technical rescue, firefighter safety and protective equipment, fire apparatus, extrication, property use of extinguishers, CPR, EMS training, wildland fire training and fire ground operations. A graduation ceremony will be held for those who successfully complete the program.
