The City of Joshua is accepting applications for Building Inspector. Duties include required building plan review and inspections including all structural, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation, health and safety codes.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED with five (5) years experience in the inspection or construction field. ICC Building Inspector Certification, Plumbing Inspector License with the State of Texas, Residential Energy Inspector, Commercial Energy Inspector, knowledge of 2009 International Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, Energy Conservation, Fire, Fuel Gas Codes and knowledge of 2011 National Electric Code. Valid Class C Texas Driver License. Preference given to Certified Plans Examiner and Certified Building Official.
Starting Salary Range: $47,535. – $53,372. DOQ EOE

Part-Time Public Works Crew Member
The City of Joshua invites qualified individuals to apply for the position of P/T Seasonal Public Works Crew Member. Duties include assisting in maintenance and repair of city streets, drainage cleaning, and building and grounds maintenance. High School diploma or GED required. The Joshua Police Department is accepting applications for Police Officer.
Job Description: Enforce any and all laws of the State of Texas and ordinances of the City of Joshua; patrol residential areas; patrol and check businesses; prevent crime; issue citations; investigate all calls for service; and appear in court when required.
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Possess a Basic Certification issued by TCOLE
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be of good moral character
- Must pass background investigation, polygraph test (if required), medical exam, and psychological exam
- Must pass oral interview, physical fitness test, and a written test
