ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
1. Completed permit application
2. Two (2) complete sets of building plans, each of which includes:
a) A floor plan of the proposed construction including construction details
b) A foundation plan, including details
c) Elevations of the proposed building for all four views
d) Energy Compliance Form or MEC check (Energy Efficiency Rating Report). This report must be done
by a third party certified to do these reports and must have signature and certification number.
3. A site plan showing:
a) The location of the proposed construction on the property
b) The location and construction of any proposed driveway(s)
c) The location of all easements or a note on the plan that none exist
d) The surface water drainage for the property
FOUNDATIONS
A finished floor elevation survey is required for all new structures in the floodplain prior to foundation approval.
Form Board Survey required prior to foundation inspection. Elevation Certificate required before foundation
inspection and final inspection.
All foundations will be designed by a Texas Registered Professional Engineer or installed per FHA Class C specifications.
Foundations other than a Class C FHA will require the foundation to be designed and sealed by a Texas Registered
Professional Engineer. (Wash outs are not permitted in the city.)
REQUIRED INSPECTIONS
1. Temporary Power Pole (T-pole). (Pier inspections if not engineered designed)
2. Form Board Survey
3. Plumbing Rough
4. Foundation: A finished floor elevation survey reflecting floor elevations and setbacks form property lines
must be submitted prior to calling for this inspection. If foundation is engineered, City must have a letter,
signed and stamped with a seal from the engineer, prior to pouring that states the Engineer has inspected the
project and that is passes according to the design.
5. Temporary Power for electric and/or gas.
6. Energy Code Inspection
7. Electrical Rough, Framing Rough, HVAC Rough, Plumbing Top-out, Brick Ties should be called in together.
8. Electrical Final, Framing Final, HVAC Final, Plumbing Final, Certificate of Occupancy should be called in
together.
PERMIT EXPIRATION
This permit will expire twelve (12) months from date of issuance.
