The City of Joshua is a Home Rule municipality located in the heart of Johnson County along Highway 174. Joshua has a population of just over 5,000 citizens, and operates under the Council-Manager form of local government. The City Council is elected by the voters to serve as the City’s Board of Directors and establish the policies of the City. The City Manager is appointed by the City Council to serve as the Chief Executive Officer and implement the policies established by the City Council as well as manage day-to-day operations of all City Departments. The City Council holds its regular meetings on the third Thursday of every month at City Hall located at 101 South Main beginning at 7:00 p.m. City offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
