The City Offices for the City of Joshua will be closed on Friday, December 31, 2010 in observance of the New Year’s Holiday.  Normal business hours will resume on Monday, January 3, 2011.  City staff wishes everyone a Happy & Safe New Years.

The Planning & Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for January 3, 2011 will not convene due to the lack of agenda items.

Joshua residents will be able to dump free at the Turkey Creek Landfill on January 21 and 22, 2011. Residents will need a copy of the city waste bill and proper ID. Hours are Friday 7 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. The Terkey Creek Landfill is located at 9100 South I-35, Alvarado Texas 76009.

Signups are Saturday’s in January: 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the concession stand at the New JBA Fields.

Last chance signups are Saturday, February 5th at City Hall, 101 S. Main, downtown Joshua from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Joshua Type B Economic Development Corporation Board will hold a Regular Meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Joshua City Hall, Council Chambers, 101 S. Main, Joshua, Texas on December 14, 2010. This is an open meeting, open to the public, subject to the Open Meeting Laws of the State of Texas.
