The Joshua Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a Regular Session at 6:30 p.m. at the Joshua City Hall, Council Chambers, 101 S. Have a question, service request or complaint?  Now you can access City Hall from your home computer using the new “Citizen Service Request” icon on the City of Joshua web page.

The City of Joshua “Citizen Service Request” allows internet users the ability to find answers to common questions, ask questions that are not yet answered, and request services.  This system is from WebQA, and will enhance how citizens interact with the City of Joshua 24/7.

The “Citizen Service Request” is an organic system, meaning that it will grow and change over time and use.  As more questions are asked, more immediate answers will become availalbe.  The number of service requests offered via the internet will also increase as time goes by.

In addition to asking question and requesting services, residents may also track the history of their interactions and view the status of any pending requests.  The “Citizen Service Request” can be viewed on any computer with internet access by visiting www.cityofjoshuatx.us and clicking on the icon to the right.

Joshua City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2009 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.  We will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 8:00 a.m.

The Joshua 4A Economic Development Corporation Board meeting scheduled for January 13, 2009 will not convene due to the lack of agenda items.

The Planning & Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for January 12, 2009 will not convene to the lack of agenda items.

Now is the time to dispose of christmas trees, limbs, brush, etc.  The City of Joshua Street Department will be conducting a Winter Clean-up on Friday, Jan. 9 – thru Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009.  The place for disposal is located at 104 W. 12th Street, Joshua, Texas (next to the fire department).  The hours for the clean-up will be 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.  Paint, refrigerators, pesticides, or anything with a compressor will not be allowed.  Any tires and batteries disposed of will have a $5.00 fee for each due to disposal fees for the City.   Any questions please call 817-558-7447.
